About Comedor de San Pascual
Comedor de San Pascual Soup Kitchen is an independent, incorporated non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Our purpose is to provide free community evening meals and food pantry bags, an opportunity to socialize for children and adults twice weekly, and to coordinate volunteer activities and outreach to other non-profit organizations in the communities of Las Vegas and San Miguel County, NM.

Board of Directors
The Board advises, sustains, supports, and directs the activities of Comedor. There are at least three and no more than nine voting members, in addition to the non-voting Executive Director. The Board elects its Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer for two-year terms, and meets at least four times each year.
Governance
The Board follows the current edition of Robert's Rules of Order, Newly Revised, in all instances where applicable. Bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds vote of those present and voting at a Board meeting, provided written notice is given to each Board member at least seven days prior. Directors and Board members may be indemnified against expenses and liabilities to the fullest extent authorized by New Mexico law, except in cases of negligence or misconduct.
Support & funding
Comedor de San Pascual is the proud recipient of grants from the Santa Fe Archdiocese Catholic Foundation and Rice Bowl project, the Santa Fe Community Foundation, and the Las Vegas New Mexico Community Foundation. Comedor holds its own 501(c)3 status.
